overweightness=no lollies?

"Australia is the fattest nation in the world, with more than 9 million adults classified as obese or overweight, a new study indicates."

"Four million Australians -- 26 percent of the adult population -- are considered obese, compared to 25 percent of Americans, the report by Melbourne's Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute said. An additional 5 million Australians are considered overweight."

and because of that, the education ministry has implemented a ban on teachers giving out lollies to students in school!

Personally, i think it's pretty ridiculous. to point the finger at school and the school teachers. don't u think so? i mean, if u wanna curb child obesity, the place u should start is AT HOME. parents are responsible for what their child eat at home, and not the school. so why should they implement such ridiculous rules? haha. im not saying all this because i want lollies, i just feel that the parents should be blamed more instead of the school. schools are just a medium for education and it's not to say kids go to school and hv a feast of sugary stuff and fattening food. well, tat's just my opinion(:

Besides that, i guess, everything's just going normal here in Melbourne. the weather's usual, fluctuating day by day, ranging from 20 C to 40 C. one day it's hot and the other day it's cold. anyway summer officially ended today!(: we're going into autumn now. where the leaves turn brown and fall off the treess! and that means more cleaning up for me-.- i've been going to the city quite often these days since my brother ccame back. but i guess it'll lessen now, since he's starting uni on monday, and we'll start cooking properly at home. for now la.hopefully.

well. i think that's all i hv to update for now la. nothing much. just came back from dinner just now. i find it amusing, how, back in malaysia, movies/hollywood/tv all depict angmohs are wow so great so great. but ask anyone who's been here, and they'll tell u the opposite.and u'll realise at the end of the day that our malaysian values are still much better than them. and they're actually not that much better than us asians. take for example, language. how many languages do malaysians speak? and how many does an aussie speak?
