loooooona park

As i mentioned earlier, on the 5th of March 2009, i went on an excursion to LUUUUUUNA PARK at St. Kilda as part of a "learning experience"(:

i started the day by meeting te-liang at the train station. we were going to take a train all the way to town(flinders st.) and then hop onto a tram which brings us to the gates of luna park.

it was pretty sad actually, for the weather decided to be a beech that day.
it was chilling cold that morning. the wind was BLOWING. the clouds were gathering. it wasn't before long that the heavens open up(very rare in melbourne).
as u can see, the hoodies were all up, some even with umbrellas and caps.
this was the entrance to luna park. walking into the mouth of a clown>.<

we were actually supposed to be in our uniforms, but being teenagers at our age, aren't rules ment to be broken?(:

haha. there were students from other schools as well who were hv ing an excursion too that day.

so we wait and wait, til everybody came before they finally opened the doors for us.

by then, most of the park was already wet and soaked-.-

tomahawk, pharoah's curse,360, whatever u call it, that was the first ride for our group. though i didnt get on it.

anyway after that, we went over to...

DODGEM CARS~!!

nono not bumper cars, DODGE THEM CARS.

"please do not intentionally bump into other cars. remember, this is dodgem cars, not bumper cars" -dumb blonde operator

now where did all the fun go? worst of it all, there was this small little "island" in the middle of the track, so we're only allowed to move in ONE direction. no HEAD ON collisions. now, how suck is that?

though the sky did eventually clear up at THE END of the day, it was prettymuch too little too late, then.

though i wanted to highlight one ride which looked cool.

first,u get into the capsule, and it spin round and round like a carousel at really fast speed, and then slowly but surely, the WHOLE rig lifts up, like this.

and it keeps rising and rising, while spinning...

until it becomes vvertically uprightttt and it spins and spins and spins

until everyone flies out.

no i was just joking.

haha. so anyway, overall, it was a pretty lame theme park la. as in, it's really really small. probably only 10% of what sunway lagoon is.
