Last Day of Exams.

YES. So today was the last day of the exams. i had my paper at 2.30pm. The paper was for LAW1101, introduction to Legal Reasoning where you are required to “decipher” and “dissect” an Act of parliament and then answer questions accordingly. usually they give you scenarios(:

The paper was pretty long, but nevertheless,

I’M FREE.

:D

i is happy.
i also realised that this is just going to repeat every 6 months. take exams, 6 months later, take exams again. i was just thinking that at the end of the degree, i would be able to call myself a certified professional serial-EXAM-TAKER!!!

yep.

On another note, today we see a new dawn in the politics of Australia.

There is a new Prime Minister in town!

Julia Gillard is now, the first woman Prime Minister in the history of Australia!!!

everything happened very quickly, from confrontation last night, to the meeting this morning at 9.00 a.m.

Step aside, Ruddy, cause here comes Julia!

though u gotta feel a lil bit sorry for Mr. Rudd though, who broke down repeatedly during his farewell speech.

so basically what happened is that during the past few months, opinion polls have shown that Ruddy’s losing the support of the people and is pulling the Labor party down with him. At this rate, come election at the end of the year, the Labor party would most certainly lose to the opposition. Hence, in a bold move, Julia Gillard approached Mr. Rudd last night, to request for a vote on the leadership of the party. This was followed by another meeting this morning at 9 a.m.

knowing that the numbers were against him, Mr. Rudd simply stood down, some say to avoid a humiliating defeat, and thus Ms. Julia Gillard, Deputy Prime Minister becomes the first woman Prime Minister of Australia!

Despite how well Australia came out of the GFC(global financial crisis) under his leadership, apparently that isn’t enough for the Australians. well what can i say? what goes up must come down, eh? not to mention, it’s a crazy world out there(:

Moving on, Defending champions, Italy has just been knocked out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, finishing last in their group.

what a turn of events! both finalists of the 06 World Cup crashes out in the first round, and also finished last for their respective groups! neither managed to even win a game!

While one may point the finger of France’s defeat at their internal squabbles, what went wrong for Italia?

We all know about France’s well documented squad disharmony.

This is what happens, when you put Inspector Clouseau as the manager of your national team.

you get weird and downright odd team selections, inability to control his players and not to mention failure in motivating and choosing the right tactics.

but i guess the worst move from the FFF(French Football Federation) was to announce that Mr. Domenech, a.k.a. Inspector Clouseau will be replaced after the World Cup by Laurent Blanc. It’s a move that can go both ways i guess.
1) the players are motivated and want to give the coach a farewell gift by winning the tournament.
2) the players don’t bother listening to him anymore, knowing that he’s heading for the exit anyway.

i guess the latter occurred.

Not to worry, French fans! surely thing can only get better from here on?:s

well what about Italy?

Word going around is that the team is too old and are not motivated to win another World Cup after the 06 victory. Some critics even label then “pensioners”!
However, upon closer inspection of the average age of Italy, it can be seen that the average age of the Italy squad is 28.2, which, isn’t THAT bad, considering that the youngest squad in the tournament(Ghana) has an average age of 24.1.

Here’s the surprise bit. although the Italians weren’t the oldest team around, a team coached by an Italian was. that’s right, England(surprise surprise) is the oldest squad in the tournament right now, with an average age of 28.7. not to mention this is without the injured David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand, whom are both above 28 years old.

So if age isn’t the issue. what is it then? lack of quality? or lack of motivation?
i guess we’ll find out, when the pundits from soccernet.com dissect the squad and publish their findings(:

well. that’s it for tonight! hv a happy holidays everyone!;D

rest up, enjoy yourself, before sem 2 starts all over again(:
